What we do, how, and why

Since 1990, we have been developing new topics and stories for brands and companies alike. We introduce them into the lives of our client’s clients: on social as well as traditional media, on the radar of business leaders and influencers, or live – from the Adidas Streetball to the Berlin Food Week.

Where conventional methods of communication lose impact, we encourage dialogue and incite positive emotions towards products and services. We curate, create, and market content. Using authentic role models, we revive brands and penetrate people’s lifestyle with brand-related stories.

During this process, our clients, employees, and partners benefit from our long lasting relations with media outlets and influencers. Strategy and Conception

Our agency’s independent team consult clients strategically to develop custom-tailored communication solutions. We like to conceptualize individual approaches that are tested for validity – whether those are one pagers, PR and social media strategies, or annual campaigns.

Public Relation

Through years of experience, we are well-versed on marketing- and corporate communication. We are able to provide a broad spectrum of services, from press texts, campaign plans to the management of international projects. We can create written and audible press material, fotos or promotional videos, and can send samples to media and influencers alike. Reporting, documenting, and subsequent evaluating can be expected naturally. Two times a year, we also represent our clients at the German Press Days. Then, our conference center turns into a meeting point for national and international fashion-, beauty- and lifestyle bloggers and journalists alike.

Social Media

We are experts when it comes to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, and Co. We know how to analyze data, put it into action during implementation, and subsequent reporting. Our services include channel- and content strategy, design, editorial plans as well as supervision, community building and management, monitoring, and last but not least, support when it comes to using advertising efficiently.

Event

For us, live communication is an essential part of Public Relations. We offer the conception, direction, and implementation of events on site. Whether it be a blogger workshop, a VIP event, a guerilla advertising, a store opening or pop-up stores, a roadshow or bigger events with thousands of attendees: we like to meet our target group halfway and take them to fascinating places.

Format- and content development

We are foodies through and through. That’s why we are official partner of the Berlin Food Week. Our main responsibilities in both 2014 and 2015 as well as 2017 and 2018: the conception of content, the creation of an elaborate program, and the acquisition of partners and subsequent collaboration. Our network includes national and international food bloggers, guerilla cooks, activists, and star cooks.

Our history in nine pictures

FOUNDED IN 1990

Grit Schröder and Gerald Schömbs are part of a new generation of agencies: as part of the scene and specialized in the interaction with young people. First clients include adidas, Swatch, and MTV.

EVENTURE IN 1996

The new event agency, founded by Andreas Wegener and Elmar von Hoesslin, starts supporting S+SPR for campaigns and events.

CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP IN 1997

Grit Lauterbach (née: Schröder) leaves the agency and Elmar von Hoesslin becomes part of the management board.

PART OF THE TOP 100 IN 2000

Merger with Eventure and relocation to the Torstraße 107 in Mitte. According to PR-Report, S+SPR is now among the 100 biggest PR agencies in Germany.

SOCIAL MEDIA IN 2008

With our own blog, Facebook, and Twitter channel we venture into the social web. Here, we test and try communication methods before recommending them to our clients.

OUR NEW CONFERENCE CENTER IN 2009

We expand: in conjunction with the neighboring PR agency Zucker.Kommunikation, we open our very own conference center on the second floor.

THE NEXT GENERATION IN 2012

Our management board grows: a selection of longtime employees adopt management tasks. We establish a team dedicated to strategy and conception that is responsible for all of our clients and industries.

THE BERLIN FOOD WEEK IN 2013

The agency becomes partner of the Berlin Food Week GmbH. We develop content and the program alike, initiate collaboration, and are responsible for all communication.

25TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2015

Gerald Schömbs entrusts the executive management to Michael Hetzinger and Herbert Schmitz. Meanwhile, we celebrate our 25th birthday.
